Employment Commission - Grinnell asked for injunctive relief
against this state agency. The Agency won a summary judgment. (95-623)
EEOC V. GRINNELL
- The EEOC sued Grinnell twice in these Kansas cases, the first time to
enforce subpoenas for information from Grinnell, and the second time
charging Grinnell with discrimination. The case was settled. (92-2380,

Jones v. GRINNELL
(97-1405) - Grinnell lost a judgment in this Texas discrimination case.
Both sides appealed.
Tennant v.
GRINNELL (92-80) - This suit alleged civil rights violations by
Grinnell in Texas.
Collins v.
GRINNELL - This job discrimination case asked for $120,000 from
Grinnell.
- This is a mammoth
product liability case that pled for $9,990,000 in damages against
Grinnell and others. In related suits, Lloyd’s of London sued Grinnell
for the $9,990,000 also. West Coast Liquidators sued Grinnell also in a
related matter. These cases are apparently still pending as of April 28,
2000.

Conoco v. Dolphin,
GRINNELL, others - This was a $9,600,000 damage suit, regarding
a maritime fire. The allegations included negligent training ,
mishandling of steel skillets and blind flanges, a borrowed employee and
a faulty fire extinguisher. (92-1222)
