Over 700 OSHA Violations

1999

March - Grinnell Fire Protection is assessed an initial penalty of $525 for a serious violation of ladder rules in Cleveland, Ohio.

January - Grinnell is cited for a serious violation and assessed a $300 fine on a project in Romulus, Michigan.

1998

November - On a jobsite in Cleveland, North Carolina, OSHA cites Grinnell with 3 violations. Grinnell violated the rules for Life Safety Codes, Portable Fire Extinguishers, and Welding, Cutting & Brazing, General Requirements.

October - Grinnell Fire Protection is cited for a violation of Electrical, General Requirements on a Oakdale, Minnesota jobsite and fined $100.

August - Grinnell was fined $500 at Mt. Olive Pickle Company in Mount Olive, North Carolina for violating OSHA standard 191002191201, Mechanical Power-Transmission Apparatus. OSHA considers this a serious violation.

June - In Minden, Nevada, Grinnell was cited for written safety program requirements at the Carson Valley Medical Mall by OSHA.

Grinnell also received 2 citations from OSHA at Quebecor Printing in Fernly, Nevada for general requirements, electrical, safety-related work practices, and gas welding.

Aurora, Colorado is where Grinnell was fined $850 and cited for two violations involving stairways and hazard communication standards.

May - At a Portland, Oregon jobsite, OSHA cites Grinnell for four violations and a fine of $500 for portable fire extinguishers, oxygen fuel gas welding and cutting, electrical systems design and rules for workplace safety committees.

April - OSHA cites Grinnell for general requirements for storage and materials handling on a jobsite in Shelby, Indiana.

On a job in Moore, Oklahoma, Grinnell was cited for violating electrical wiring methods, components of equipment and general use by OSHA.

Grinnell was also cited and fined $150 for violating a construction accident prevention program in Redwood City, California.

March - Grinnell receives an initial fine of $1,175 on a job in Broadview Heights, Ohio for a serious electrical, wiring design & protection violation.

February - OSHA fines Grinnell $550 for three violations of noise, radiation, and housekeeping regulations on a food plant job in Hiram, Ohio.

January - Grinnell received an initial fine of $1,750 from OSHA for a serious and failure to abate violation of an electrical rule in South Carolina.

In Columbia, Pennsylvania, Grinnell was cited for a material handling, general violation.
